25p from the sale of each mug will be donated to the NHS Covid-19 charity appeal to support the hard work our healthcare workers are providing on the frontline. 5% of sales will also be provided to the Florence Nightingale Museum.

This hand-crafted fine bone china cup started its journey in the potteries of Stoke-on-Trent, England, one of Great Britain’s last remaining craft industries, using traditional methods which have remained unchanged for generations. Fine bone china is translucent, pure white in colour and is stronger and more chip-resistant than earthenware china. It has been made in Stoke-on-Trent since the 1790’s by famous pottery houses such as Spode, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, and Duchess China. Each ceramic mug takes 7 days to make; it is cast in a mould and is finished by hand by highly skilled glazers and lithographers.

Bone china has a long history in the English countryside and lends itself as the perfect canvas to Alison’s illustrations, ensuring rich and beautiful colours on every cup. The delicate and smooth characteristics of bone china is even said to improve the taste of your favourite tea or coffee.
